Perspective Is Key
No matter what you are looking at nobody and i mean nobody is looking at it the same way you are. There are infinite angles in which to view objects and situations. This is why photography and life in general is so interesting and unique to all people. We all see the same things from a different perspective. Photography allows me a lense to show my perspective. Weather it be shooting a wedding professionally or going out for a walk with my son and shooting a few pictures with my iPhone. My perspective at that time is what immortalizes those situations. It saves them frozen in time never to be changes again. That is unless i want to edit them post.
For some time I have been wanting to just go out and shoot and for a little while I did. Travelling to places I've never been camera in hand pointing it at different objects buildings and people, capturing the moment. My perspective. It's really what we are hired to do as photographers. Technology has come so far that any one can take pictures at at wedding, and if you've ever shot one you know that they try. What they ultimately hire us for is our point of view. Our knowledge that although it may not seem like it this angle work, that this pose regardless of how uncomfortable or awkward it may be will communicate the emotions that you are feeling inside.
Like the white house photographer and the press that is present at every NFL field any given Sunday. Our perspective is key.
